Google Maps

Playing around with Google Maps this morning and discovered something I had not come across before; you can go into shops and stuff (even climb the stairs) in street view. Is this new or just something I had missed until now?

Last week I was mooching around Google maps and somehow entered a shop, I could understand how. Now I know to click on the little yellow man to show which places you can view indoors.
Just tried it out and found the cameraman in one of the views!

Didn't know that! Thanks! I do know I am on Google streets view....was outside with my grandsons, camera in hand as usual, and saw the truck, to I took pics of them taking pics!

I remember seeing something about it starting in museums in 2011.I always revert to classic google maps as I hate the new one so haven't followed the development of See Inside.

I'd seen the 'spheres' before, where you had a panoramic view inside buildings, but this is the first time I've seen where you can walk around inside a building. Might be useful if planning a robbery.

I haven't got on very well with street view since they changed it, it always seems to dump me in some back street with a load of garages.

And me, I always end up looking at the back entry behind us, just took me 1/2 hour and a trip round town to get to the front and then it aid i was viewing number 30 and i am at 4

You don't have to stick with it.

Click the question mark in the bottom right.Then click Return to....



This opens another little box with optional tick boxes.Click Return to....



I'd like to think if enough people said they preferred Classic that they'd revert to that.Extremely doubtful though.Google knows best!

Next thing you know they'll be poking around inside people's houses. There goes eating breakfast in the bathrobe, sigh...
