It was a similar name as I recall but maybe it's the numbers that are different ?

Feedback has always been an optional feature for buyer and seller to use of their own free will. If either chooses not to leave any, then it is not up to eBid to interfere otherwise it is not an optional feature. It would be a case of: "If you don't want to leave any feedback then we'll do it for you". Not good in my opinion.

Hear, hear! I like getting pos. fb, but I'd rather have happy repeat buyers.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

    How about
xxx number of sales and/or transactions awaiting feedback to be displayed somewhere ?

At least it would show that sellers are getting sales

having any sort of icon displaying "awaiting feedback for x number of transactions " would raise more questions via any potental buyer " why has he/she not recived FB" is there a problem with this seller " should i leave FB if i buy off this seller others dont " it would be harmfull to sellers and the site as a whole.

the FB system is probably as good as it gets at the moment the rate of FB being left for sellers will improve as the incentive for buyers to return increases and thats something ebid, old sellers, new sellers need to address the spin off would be increased FB recived.

Yup - and for all those newbies with no feedback to show - at least others would see that there are sales to be had.
Dang sight better than looking as if no sales at all.
    (in my opinion)

Of course - other may have their own reasons for not showing the number of transactions.

So could make it optional with a box to tick.

I have opened a support ticket to suggest this - so hopefully will get some sort of response from Gazza about it

new seller comes to ebid sells x amount of items recives no FB so ebid stick a icon next to the 0 FB count " this seller has x amount of transactions but no FB recived, im sure a new seller would really appreciate your surgestions along with any potental buyers

I can never understand the logic of seller's who request feedback - its a good way of losing custom, because they find it irritating.

As for the automatic feedback - Absolutely NOT!

Ebid have some sort of emailed automatic feedback request after so many days - In my opinion that needs to STOP

The only thing I ask of a buyer is payment - and if they choose to leave feedback that is nice. Some don't leave feedback and instead send me a nice email instead - others (and some who have been regular customers with 100's of purchases) I never get anything, that is their choice and I am perfectly happy with that.
    I agree.
