    Went to Paypal today and the dispute is closed, yay! Not only that, but it looks like they recovered some of the money for me as well. Barrattess, I hope you get your money back, too;

    Gosh I am so glad :-))))) ... makes it all worthwhile.

    As for me, the saga continues. The buyer has yet to escalate the dispute to a claim, so far I have managed to keep him at bay with delaying tactics of asking him to be a little more patient considering the postal delays both sides of the Atlantic. Normally I would have issued a refund immediately BUT... well you already know the story :-)

    He will make his claim and he will receive his money.

    He bought the items over the Christmas period when I just happened to be offering 'Free Postage' on all items so of course the items were sent without insurance....BUT of course he knows this.

    For the record, I was never going to win this (although I feel like I did ) but that was not the point. The point was that I was at least instrumental in removing him from either buying or selling on Ebid...and for making Paypal aware that this person appears to make claims that are unfounded.

    Wow, that sucks, I'm really sorry about the whole mess. I'm just glad you had the guts to do the right thing, (give this scammer the neg's he/she deserved and report them to Paypal), as you gave me courage in the process to follow your lead. I also learned quite a bit about the importance of recording transactions in Paypal, among other things.

    eBid is a great place with honest, caring people and not a place (like Feepay) where scammers can operate thanks to people like you.
