  1. #1

    Default joining ebid

I noticed on someones post thatt they had a link to joining ebid on their items, is this a good thing to do and how do you get it on there?
it said something like - want to buy this item but not a member of ebid 'join here'

    thanks

Well that's something you don't see every day.

It is a good idea. If someone comes across one of your items it guides them to the registration page that will enable them to bid /buy. Save them having to search around. The easier you can make it for someone to buy your items then the more chance that they will.

Additionally you can direct them to the registration page via your Buddy Link so you get buddy points when then sign up.

Getting the link in place is simple. Just a slight variation on this: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/astral....icks.htm#a0001

I put the link on every one of my listings but I don't think anyone has used it to join eBid because my Buddy Points have not changed apart from small amounts for sales. You never know though, it's there just incase.

I was trying to be sarcastic.
I'll try and make my link bolder.

That's because you are not using the correct link. You are just sending them to the registration page. You need to use your Buddy Point link so that if anyone follows it you are credited with getting them to sign up.

Oops! I will have to correct that one.

That's that done, 230 auctions edited to change link, that made my mouse hand ache. Thanks for pointing it out though. Maybe I will get a few buddy points now.

Did you change them one at a time. We have a great Bulk Edit on here which would have altered the link in all your auctions in a couple of clicks of your mouse
My posts only state my own opinions, unless I've stolen them from someone else
