Wolf dog sings to a baby to stop his cry

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhA_T...eature=related

This is a Malamute Husky and not a wolf dog!!!
I have one of these dogs and can relate to the gentleness and the way they talk to you

Oh yes, I knew a HUGE one named Cody and his head was about up to my shoulder but he was such a sweetie.

I don't think I would let a dog that close to a very young child - regardless of how placid it was.

Mrs Huddy had a few when she lived in America and bought one back when she moved back over here,in the end she had to let it go to the Malamute rescue centre because it wasn't fair to leave it alone all day when she was at work, when I went over a couple of years ago with her to see family I met a fair few of them lovely dogs, but very large lol

These dogs are very protective and caring. Very much like in the video. Good dogs to have. Also the Collie and Sheltie breeds are very good around children. Growing up I had a Collie who acted much like this Husky when I was little and the Sheltie I have now is very protective of my grandchildren and will tattle on them when he thinks they are doing things they shouldn't.
