I will vote a dont mind either way....but remember that new members from over there will often have lots of questions regarding the two sites...and its only natural that their gonna have.

But on the otherhand other yonder don't allow posts regarding ebid...so it's a difficult one.

Me personally couldn't care a less if theres a discussion about feebay or fried eggs, if i want to read and post i will, if i dont then i wont. Reporting and deleteing posts like shezz's is a bit immature if thats all she said. So i dont agree with that, she wasn't promoting feebay in that post.

I doubt it would cause anymore arguments than already go on, as long as other sites were not been promoted here. As for the all the 'nastiness' over yonders boards, well, compare the size and amount of members to here...and its a lot more different people, personalities and opinions on the boards over there. I have no doubt as ebid grew to the size of over yonder there would also be a lot more arguments on here too

Thats exactly how i felt when i see it gone, could'nt believe that anyone here could or even would bother to report the post, no one was quoted, was just a general remark

only other thing i did say was that i was sure others on here still sell and buy on there
    am calm again now

I see this as a non-issue - so no vote.

I can't say I have noticed eBid intolerant of other selling sites being mentioned or generally discussed - as long as the discussion is not seen as being injurious to their business. The removal of such threads is entirely reasonable. The only people who can decide if a thread is injurious is eBid themselves.

I've had a good few posts and threads deleted myself. While I have not always agreed with it I accept that I am playing with eBid's ball so they get to make the rules.

There's nothing like a good debate

In my opinion, No. I have seen many other sites names mentioned in threads but very seldom see the eBid name included. Therefore you are adding to the search results for other sites but not really adding to eBid search results. To truly get the eBid name out there it needs to be used and not just posted from an eBid forum.

I did a search on Google as it's my main search engine and here are the results:
    Search word:
    eBid - result 763,000
    'them' - result 343,000,000

    Search words:
eBid 'them' - result 78,400 - eBid showed on the whole of the first page

'them' eBid - result 77,600 - eBid appears in the first 4/5 (bad memory, sorry) results

If ALL of you can mention the actual eBid name in your posts it would help tremendously on results and allow eBid to get in the top searches, therefore bringing us all what we want from eBid - buyers.

Before any of you count - there are 13 mentions of eBid including this one.

And they say Google discriminates against them. Think of the results if they were Google partners instaed of eBid
