I will vote a dont mind either way....but remember that new members from over there will often have lots of questions regarding the two sites...and its only natural that their gonna have.
Yes, discussion should be allowed anywhere in the forums
Yes, but only in a special forum created for it
No, it's not appropriate to discuss other sites here
I don't mind either way

I see this as a non-issue - so no vote.
I can't say I have noticed eBid intolerant of other selling sites being mentioned or generally discussed - as long as the discussion is not seen as being injurious to their business. The removal of such threads is entirely reasonable. The only people who can decide if a thread is injurious is eBid themselves.
I've had a good few posts and threads deleted myself. While I have not always agreed with it I accept that I am playing with eBid's ball so they get to make the rules.
There's nothing like a good debate
In my opinion, No. I have seen many other sites names mentioned in threads but very seldom see the eBid name included. Therefore you are adding to the search results for other sites but not really adding to eBid search results. To truly get the eBid name out there it needs to be used and not just posted from an eBid forum.
I did a search on Google as it's my main search engine and here are the results:
Search word:
eBid - result 763,000
'them' - result 343,000,000
Search words:
eBid 'them' - result 78,400 - eBid showed on the whole of the first page
'them' eBid - result 77,600 - eBid appears in the first 4/5 (bad memory, sorry) results
If ALL of you can mention the actual eBid name in your posts it would help tremendously on results and allow eBid to get in the top searches, therefore bringing us all what we want from eBid - buyers.
Before any of you count - there are 13 mentions of eBid including this one.

Glad to see you used eBid in your reply.

If i want to know about other sites i will go there
Reincarnation is just another repeat
