Why would a buyer have their name struck through and how would you handle a bid being placed on your auction from same? Are they allowed to place bids?
Thanks

buyers with strike through name may be in the process of getting verified, or they may have been suspended for some reason .. I would suspect they found your item, signed up to bid on it and havent verified yet ..

How'd it turn out? Just great! Apparently, that's what VERY "new" buyers look like - hadn't noticed that before. My buyer was just PERFECT; couldn't ask for better! ;-)
Glad to hear that. And congrats on the sale.

I have seen suspended users with that also. check their feedback and you can tell right away
what he means is, - that's how you check.. if they don't have feedback yet , and their join date is recent (like within a couple days or so) then they are probably just awaiting verification..
However if they have a struck through name and *do* have feedback, they are most likely banned (and shouldn't even have been able to bid, I don't think)
For sellers, it isn's so much of a big issue.. for buyers, however .. Caveat Emptor! - when conducting business with a seller with a strike-through, do use extreme caution, cover all the bases, use credit card via Paypal or Google Checkout so at the very least if you dont get what you paid for you can file a chargeback and get your money back
