So if most of your sales are £9.60 or less in total you could be saving money that way as it's only 5p + 5% rather than 20p + 3.4%.
How do you open a Micro account, can't find any link on Paypal, please ?

    I type too quick.

The link changes your normal account to a micro one in about 24-48 hours (thats what they say, but mine was virtually straight away) i have saved about £100 in fees

Buyers like and trust Paypal, and 99.9% of my buyers use it. The rest use checks/money orders. Most sellers find this true on ebid (and feebay, our websites etc).

So thinking you will save by using an alternative may not be such a great idea. Buyers may not want to join an alternative payment plan, reveal their financial info to strangers, or spend time joining, over a $1 item. You may lose a lot of business while saving some PP fees..

Remember you have to spend money to make money, and the money you must spend are YOUR expenses. These are not the buyer's responsibility, but are built into the item selling price. If they are listed separately, or you ask buyers to use an unfamiliar payment plan to save YOU fees, that might be asking too much from the buyers and they might shop elsewhere.

Before you make any decisions about payment methods etc, make sure that those decisions will not lose you customers.
