    Default Any HTML Gurus?

Since the new site most of my listings are corrupted by the bottom being overwritten by eBid information. E.g.

    http://uk.ebid.net/perl/auction.cgi?...577&mo=auction
    http://uk.ebid.net/perl/auction.cgi?...533&mo=auction

eBid maintains this is down to 'bad HTML' in my description (no indication as to what they consider 'bad' though). I have checked the HTML and, after a couple of minor fixes, it passes validation as XHTML 1.0 Transitional (the same standard as eBid's pages). The problem still presents though and I can't see how to fix it

Can anyone see where my 'bad HTML' is or am I being fobbed off by eBid?

I had a quick look earlier & saw nothing obvious, but Toz is much better at seeing/fixing XHTML than I am, & he's usually up for a challenge.

Wiz is just going to try & pry him away from whatever he's doing so he can look for you.

ooops sorry wrong ID, can't be bothered to change it now.

The first quick and dirty check I always do with these sort of problems is this:

View page, then view source. Copy only the description contents code into a file, and view that file as a web page. When I do this with your listing the results are corrupt in the same way they are within ebid. So something's going wrong, but whether it's from your original coding or something ebid's done to it on publishing it's too early to say.

Have a look and see for yourself, you might see what it's done more quickly than I would.

You do appear to have inconsistent numbers of cells in your rows. Not sure how or why it would cause such a problem, but it's not something I like to do, and it's the first thing I've noticed that's dodgy.

I expect Wiz Jnr will be along before I find anything even vaguely useful, but I'll have a bit more of a paddle.
