I regularly feed the birds but have been making a special effort during the recent bad spell of weather. They have mixed seed, sunflower hearts, fat balls, cheese and (being a Jack Sprat kinda guy) all the fat removed from my meat. Plus fresh water twice a day. For some reason they seem totally uninterested. Normally they are flocking around the garden and fighting to get ahead in the pecking order. I still see a good few around the garden but they pay little heed to the food put out.
I do get neighbour's $^%&^^ cats but less over the bad weather than usual. I have checked the area and there are no dead bird corpses that may be scaring them away.
Is anyone else noticing a lack of bird feeding activity? Is someone up the road from me putting out caviar?
