Sony DAB clock radio has a design flaw

For a while I was dead keen to get my hands on this new DAB clock radio from Sony, I have had a Sony Dream Machine clock radio for yonks and it's been the best I've seen. I kept bidding on feebay but (as you might guess) the bidding always went beyond the bargain price level and frequently almost up to the RRP, anyway as luck would have it I came across some user reviews on Amaz0n that all said the clock had a serious flaw - the radio would come on at midnight randomly and of it's own accord, and the alarms that you set did not actually work all of the time. Close call there for me then, I could have ended up paying over the odds for a duff clock radio!

The model is Sony XDRC705DAB, one to avoid. Shame as Sony are usually very good when it comes to clock radios.
