Thought Jimbos safe buying guide (part of his excellent www.ebidinfo.com) deserved a place on this thread
http://www.ebidinfo.com/buyers-stay-safe.php
I bet there's a few feebay buyers who wished they'd read that guide before bidding on a feebay scam artists high value listings. the scammer set up dozens of feebay accounts in early february and used them to leave postitive feedback on his scam listings. (all the feedback was private of course) then they started listing the fake high value items. In the past 24 hours 96 feebay bidders have left the scammer negative feedback. At the moment the scammers account is NOT suspended, nor are any of the fake IDs used to give false feedback. Lessons to learn when buying expensive items on line are don't just check the feedback number, check what buyers have actually said, and when the buyers joined (the fake buyers all had zeroi feedback in this case).
the good news for ebidders is that scammers would find it considerably harder to set up fake accounst here; ebid are quicker to respond to suspicious activity, and the sellers account would be automatically suspended by the time the third neg was posted.
