If you use BIN (either alone or with a starting bid) your items will be uploaded to Google shopping so you'll get extra exposure.
Thanks for the fast reply cmjewels, especially the bit about Google Shopping! I didn't know that before now and (hopefully)will put your info to good use in future auctions. Thank You.

I will do a BIN and an auction price a little less than that.
I put it on for just over 7 days so that it will appear in the Google product search.

... I don't buy it now because with an auction the item will find it's market value ( Theoretically!)...eg I once sold a small dish starting price £9.99...it sold for £700.00!) . I am glad I didn't put a £19.99 bIN on

Congrats on the good price redmerlin ... such things do happen, ... occasionally!
However, the bit of your reply that most interested me was about

    Google Shopping!
So, let me see if I've got this right for future reference, if my auction is for seven days or longer it gets automatically placed in Google Shopping? And it doesn't have to have a B.I.N. to be seen in Google Shopping ...?
Must admit to being a tad lazy since I 'came over' from that other site. Been setting all my auctions as four days from first bid ... except the present Sale items which are up there for a week from their individual posting dates. All that was intended to give me a wee 'breathing space' between them getting bids and me parceling up said items ... but if they are getting exposure on Google Shopping then it would /Might be worth my while posting items for eight/ten days ...

Hmmm, have I got that right, or do I have to be registered with / offering Google as a payment option?

    Either way it's d
efinitely worth considering (she said as she almost fell of her seat getting to relist items for eight/ten days!)

    Hi Sparrow

Only listings with a BIN price are uploaded to Google shopping. (incl. those with a bid price as well )

You don't have to have a Google Checkout account for this to happen......but, as a seller I'd recommend you have an account anyway it's cheaper than peepal for a start lol

I normally do a start price and a bin over 14 days or around that mark most of my stuff seems to be picked up by google well at least the ones I can be bothered to check.

As for what sells best I dont really take much notice

I did once, and wasn't paying attention. I can testify to how ridged the inside of a swan's beak is!

not a good idea - gets to the bottom of any search. 7+ listing with 10 auto reposts is quite good even if you are lazy. After that time it probably do with a change
