Thread: Anybody else sold to South Africa?

  1. #1

Default Anybody else sold to South Africa?

Over my 3/4 years selling on the river I have sold 2 DVD's to South Africa. The first went missing a couple of years ago and just recently got an email about an item I posted three weeks ago saying it hadnt arrived. Umph.

Anyone else had such bad luck with SA?

Yep. My in-laws are in South Africa and everything we ever sent them went astray - it's renown over there. We stopped sending stuff in the end.

Thanks for the info. I had started to have a feeling that would be the case. Its a shame one cant pick and choose (on the river) where one will post to! If I dont list an item as full international options I also wont get the sales I do get to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Did you ever try Airsure option raza?

I've sent a few things to SA when I sold on greedbay but all arrived O.K. so maybe I was lucky or some areas are worse than others?!

I always use 'international signed for' postage so maybe that puts off any light fingered posties over there!

I have just had an email from someone in India saying their parcel has'nt arrived, it was not worth being signed for, I will chase it up but am thinking of only selling to uk, europe, usa, canada and australia in future, also a parcel to honk kong went awol. As I sell mostly very low priced items having them signed for is not worth it

I have had good experiences with Japan and China. Unfortunately, some buyers are not that honest and say they haven't received when they have!
