I haven't got a website - but have been looking af a few belonging to some of the posters on here.

Amazed ( and horrified) to find that at least one of the most prolific and opinionated posters is promoting feebay and a specialist media site, BUT NOT EBID!!!!!!!
Why not take a quick look at my Stores?

Find all kinds of books HERE

    Find 'Plus Size' Clothes HERE

Find NEW tiny Baby Stuff HERE

    Find 'Bits & Bobs' HERE

I wonder if you mean me? Certainly what you say could apply to my own site (though without he amazement and horror on my part!) Either way, I can certainly air my own view: I've been developing a new front page for my own web site and rethinking how things should work, and it's not published yet. People who own web sites don't necessarily rush right in to slap something up, but might prefer to get it *right*, and do one big change rather than tinker and tweak. It took weeks of development to get my site looking how it does, and none of the links on there were put on to start with. eBid's been running for years without my help. I've been selling here for just a few weeks. A bit more time before I start promoting ebid in this one location isn't going to break either of us.

Just had a nosey at your site bykimbo looks good, Better than mine, I'm not that good at layout and all that. Must inprove lol
had a look at several links from here to outside website noticed a few with no mention of eBid and have been here a long time,
Maybe all should think about linking ebid from there site when linking from eBid I find it only curtiuos,
I'v only been here since late Jul and put a link on my site to eBid and then later noticed the Affiliate and joined that as well, Not to shure how it works but I think they pay you for anyone links to eBid and joins.

    Thanks, most kind.

In the end "content is King", so don't sweat it. I like to make mine look as smart as I can, but try not to lose site of the fact that it's what's on there that matters - tidy is a bonus. A bit like my home.

I'll definitely be putting a link on - I have one on my development copy of the site, but it's just not right yet. I also need to investigate the affiliate side of things and decide if that or just a straight link is best - and when linking, to link to my stuff, my store (which one?), my "about me" or what? There's also a more direct clash between ebid and my own online shop, and I need to think about the implications of that (the feebay link is not to my stuff, and the specialist book site is a very different beast altogether - got to watch for competing against myself!!) It is obviously the case that I would prefer people to buy direct from my own site - but that needs more work too because it doesn't yet mention Google checkout. Unfortunately there are only so may hours in the day. And yes, I could probably recoup a few minutes if I posted here less, but this is light relief and I'm a fast typist.

Default WEBSITE needs more work Kimbo

I just went to Kimbo's website.
The eBid search box overlies the text to the right and the search button obscures the eBid logo!! Something is amiss there. When you assign an exact location to things you have trouble if the viewer's text is not the same size as the site developer.

I have a website that sells business website templates; I haven't been working the domain like I should. Times a problem; not really doing much to market the site. I also get confused about what is allowed on Ebid or not.

Does anyone know if ecommerce affiliates can be linked to Ebid; like if I was interested in drop shipping, etc. I've been told by the original developers & owners of my website template business that I could use some of the templates to develop a business website. If I did that, would I be able to link it to Ebid, as well as commercial affiliate links? Does Ebid have a written policy about links? If so, where is it? Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on these issues.

Ah... resized to a million variations and it all looks fine. Then fired up IE <spit> and guess what? The code is generated by a third-party, but I'll take a look and see if I can tweak a fix in. Thanks again for letting me know.
