I just checked out one of the OH SO CALLED LINKS where ebid is suppose to be mentioned as in the above post and all I saw was a comment "you can always move to another auction site like I did".... DUH.....

There is NO MENTION OF EBID in that post- what are us Americans suppose to do?? Suddenly just UP AND DISCOVER EBID... as far as America is concerned there is NO OTHER AUCTION SITE because Amazon and Yahoo pulled theirs... its just an empty statement that is NO HELP TO EBID...

it gives no mention of EBID.... this is just another ebay plant trying to feed you mis-information.

Think you need to calm down a bit and take a deep breath! I just nipped over there and did a search and it came up with 162 topics with the mention of eBid! Here is one....

You are giving all of us here in the USA a bad name, and if you were the only one I had met on here I would think we were all bossy, inconsiderate, pushy and obnoxious.

Hope others on here realize we in the US are not all of one mind!

In the UK when you give someone your details (name/address/email) for a purchase the information you have provided immediatly becomes covered by the data protection act, which basically means that the seller shouldn't give your details to anyone else or use your details to send unsolicited mail. I'm sure thyere will be similar legislation in the USA

There's a big difference with emailiing a couple of regular old customers to tell them you've moved location,than to blindly emailing all your ebay and paypal address list with unsolicited advertising. The second scenario is spamming and will do ebid more harm than good.
