WHEN will we have a shipping calculator?

... like Ken I must be missing something ??? ... or the buyers are....am I wrong in saying...the P&P are stated in the listing....( at least for UK )
so , a seller who states the P&P is being EFFICIENT...it looks like it is some buyers ...THAT ARE NOT being EFFICIENT !!!......papa.

Obviouly, those in the UK have a different postal rate system. As I explained in a previous post,: in the U.S., we have 8 different zones, each with a different shipping cost. So, for example, if I ship to California, it WILL NOT cost me the same to ship to Florida or Texas. So, therefore, we can't put the exact cost in our listing without a shipping calculator where a person can emter their zipcode. If I did charge a flat rate, the people closer to me, in Indiana for example, would be overcharged, if the package is over 1 pound in weight. Hope this clarifies our need for the shipping calculator for those of us in the U.S. You may want to view the link another person posted, showing that we also have LOTS of different services available, all with different rates. Our system must be much more complicated that in the UK! LOL!
Just a question: Does it cost those in the UK the same to ship to the U.S. as it does to Spain, let's say? Here that would be a different cost for each, also!
Anyway, we are patiently anticipating the unveiling of a shipping calculator-- very soon.

I can see what OP is getting at - they mean that its too difficult to put all permutations of postage on their listings as they all have to be worked out for weight x distance etc.

The site I use ( instead of RM) is www.seajays.com - specially for e-auctions, and always kept up-to-date.
He always put the new rates on about 10 days before they take effect, so you can put them on your listings.

One of my carriers charges around £8 to most places in the UK but postage to the Scottish Islands is around £10 more - so if I fill in UK postage the Scottish Islands arent included

Well, if the shipping calculator we're getting here on eBid works the same as the one on the "other" site" you will have the correct postage to the UK, Scottish Islands & EVERYWHERE else that you'd like to ship. Seems you must not ship to the U.S. as much as we ship from the U.S. to everywhere else!

The beta version of our shipping calculator will be placed live at 2am BST (1am GMT) on Wednesday 2nd July.

The beta version will be for USPS only and therefore available to eBid USA only.
