Default Western Union - Is It allowed?

Hi, we are getting quite a few queries regarding Western Union recently.

Can anyone please give a definitive answer - is it allowed, or not?

    After seeing this thread: http://helpdesk.ebid.net/showthread....wire+transfers

I suspect it is not allowed, but really we need clarification from the management.

I have e-mailed support asking for advice.

I don't know. Never accept it, it is used exclusively by people who want to send money to family members, and by internet scammers. End of. Period.

I would say that most regular users of online auction sites know that WU is for scammers only.

Unfortunately some people do not know or assume they will be okay.

That is why I have asked G&M for an official verdict on this.

Personally if it was my site I would have it listed in the T&C's that WU is not acceptable. Also on the listings pages in big letters.

    Western Union = SCAM.

Don't touch them, or you will be out of pocket faster than you can say "Please will you transfer...".
