I too am hoping to come across from the questionable practices of another site. What assurances are there (if any) for your seller community, that once you get to a peer level (and I really hope this happens sooner rather than later) with the likes of eBay you don't will start playing games with your sellers like forcing them to use Paypal, etc.? this site has their own payment facility but it is not pushed down our throats they let us choose how want paying i accept gold dublooms and unused stamps , the owners just want a successful auction site which it is getting to now

Absolutely none what-so-ever.
How can any business prove to any individual's satisfaction that that any particular course of action won't be performed at some point in the uncertain future? The answer is, they can't. It isn't possible.

All you can do is look at what has been done and said to this point. Based on that criteria, I don't believe that eBid would do that.

Come on over o2have, and welcome. With so many buyers and sellers on eBid precisely because of the practices elsewhere, it's highly unlikely that those same practices would start being integrated here.
And we are much nicer.

eBid has a simple system IMHO - perhaps too simple at times, but it's better than being overly-complex and restrictive. I don't expect eBid to become more complex or more restrictive, only refined over the years.
