Default Export Listings - How do you use this

    Hi
How do you export listings into a .csv file to open as a spreadsheet?

Depending on the defaults on your computer, it should automatically save as a tsv file, and when opened, it should open as a a spreadsheet.

    Hi
Just tried this and it saves as a spreadsheet but all the info is in one column.
I have exported before into a .csv file which then can be opened as a spreadsheet, ie correct info into separate columns.
But I can't remember how to do it.

Is it saving as a tsv file?

Default how to use export listings

    • After clicking the export listings link you will be prompted to save your file.
    • Save the file as a .csv or a .txt file somewhere you can find it easily.
    • Open your excel programme ( or CALC from open office if you don't have excel)
    • From the excel menu go FILE, then OPEN and look for your saved .csv or .txt file
    • An excel wizard will come up. when I use it I don't change any of the boxes - just select 'next' until it's finished
    • You should now be able to see all your exported listings in an excel format.
    • This format is exactly the same layout as the bulk uploader, so if you want to edit your files in bulk, then re upload them, here's how you do it
