Possible glitch on MyeBid page

I am experiencing problems when accessing My eBid page. My internet connection (NTL Broadband) constantly switches off, ONLY when I am on my My eBid page. Sometimes as soon as I've signed in, sometimes seconds or even a minute or so after signing in. It happens nowhere else. Could be my end, but it strikes me as unlikely. Anyone care to speculate?

I wouldn't care to speculate as i haven't got a clue but mine is working ok.

I think there was a thread on feebay some time back with the same sort of problem between NTL & feebay.
From what I remember the actual problem is the NTL end of things. Sorry haven't got time to check it out at the mo, can't even remember what forum it was on.

I've had some problems on both eBid and eBay before, Gothicina, usually when NTL are doing their regular maintainance work. It creates problems such as ads not showing on pages but nothing like the disconnection I'm experiencing. Which doesn't rule out the possibility, of course.

I use ntl, it has been ok here, although I have a broadband connection I have noticed my internet connection can be be dropped ( if I go and make a coffee for example) and the you are working offline message pops up.


I don't know if ntl still charge a £1 a minute for technical help but the one time I called them it cost £3 just to confirm who I was before I even asked a question, that's what I call ****** ****** service

Thanks for the links. I can put up with the usual problems on eBay & eBid (ads not showing, slower responses. I'm not technically proficient enough to want to start messing about with proxy servers and such like.
I've noticed that if I try getting into my My eBid page without first logging into the KT (I habitually go there first), the connection stays on. Still puzzling.
