Thread: Cocktails!!! and Music

    Default Re: Cocktails!!! and Music

Shes, I have a thought of Old whenever I post a picture of Sadie. She is learning to play ball, but she has her own rules.

Trish I may have abandoned my sweatshirt, but I have a T-shirt or two. I have been modifying my T-shirts. I don't like the short sleeves and as I have a whole drawer full of T-shirts I've been cutting one up for sleeves on another.

Today is mud princess day here, it rained in the night. Probably about 1 am as I woke up then and didn't know why. I always wake up when it's all over. I set the TV on sleep and fall asleep at the beginning of the program and awake at the end.

Shes - what an adorable family you are acquiring! I have a feral kitty I feed. He didn't show up this am. He is white with gray stripey spots. I call him Mr. Spots. He's very affectionate, but I don't want a house cat. He can get into the sheep barn next door when the weather is nasty, or under the porch so I don't worry too much about him since I make sure he has food and water.

I called the FedEx store this am. I sold a bale chute extension to a man in Tennessee - Shelbyville (for Shes) and I don't have a box for it. I either have to make a box - ick! or have them pack it. The person I talked to was rather snotty. He didn't know what a bale chute extension was. I don't expect everyone to know these things, but if you live in an agricultural area like this one? FYI a bale chute extension is a piece of metal 36 1/2" long x 18 1/2" wide x 3" thick and it goes on a hay baler. Mine is green. I have another one if anyone wants one.

OK, breakfast time. Glad to see y'all.

New Logo for my listings on "The Ranch".

I took Sadie to the Vets today to get her nails clipped after several unsuccessful attempts here at home. She now weighs 47.6 pounds (29.5 kg). There are all new people over there and no way was Sadie leaving me behind. She even hid behind me when we went into the exam room. I guess I have her spoiled. Anyway the job is done now for awhile and I can work on getting her to let me hold her paw for a few minutes. It looks like I'd better watch her diet too.

So what's every body up to? Seems like one YDC just ended and it's time for another. Time flies.

Well, since I've been sitting here all by myself I've converted our pub into a sewing room. This is a oven mitt. I got the pattern for free for a potholder, but I couldn't leave it alone.

Hi....Dunno where everyone is. Enjoying the summer weather, I think. Love the pot holder! You've had a lot of heat this summer!

Nice day here, cloudy and cool, so lots of us are out in the yard working. Or being lazy. Your Sadie is so cute!!
    Ta-Ta for now!

    Hello all !
Wyo - just loving all your photos - you are very talented and love your choice of matching materials. Love the pics of Sadie, what a little stunner she is!

My life is very hectic right now - I'm inundated with kids and grandkids!

Always something going on - it was Dominic's birthday on 5th Aug - he spent the day with us all on Sunday (4th) and again with Isla and Ava on 5th.
We had a super birthday party!
On 6th Aug - it was daughter Debbies birthday - so we had a long chat before she went out for a meal with all her family.

6th Aug was also JR's and mine wedding anniversary - we were invited up to Kessingland Beach to spend time with daughter Teagan and Matt and their kiddiewinkles - Abigail and Robbie, where they are holidaying. We had a lovely time, and a super barbeque to round off!

Off to Walberswick this weekend for a beach picnic and crabbing, (world famous for crab catching - look on google!) then the week after I shall be going to Great Yarmouth with Dominic and the girls to stay the weekend with my eldest daughter Tracey, her hubby and four of my grandchildren. They live in Cornwall and we seldom get chance to all meet up together - just cannot wait to put my arms around my daughter whom I miss so much.

I have a lot going on here with Lu and the dogs, also JR took a fall last weekend and fractured a bone in his foot. I could go on forever with a veritable catalogue of events - but I will sign off now because a) I'm hungry and need to eat and b) I'm very tired.

Just a quick pop in to let y'all know I'm still alive & kicking! Working on gaining weight (up to 96 lbs now!!), strength and stamina these days. I've been working outside as much as weather permits and am happy to say I've got the flower beds weeded and the yard mowed and trimmed all by myself!! Still have some issues with the left arm and nerves but the more I "work it" the better it gets.

Sorry to be short but I've got to prepare for tree cutters coming tomorrow. Bad storm uprooted a 100+ ft tree and it's hung up in 2 walnut trees. Need to get it taken care of before it falls completely and lands on the old house.

    Y'all take care!

Wednesday I took Sadie for a ride - man does she get excited. She loves to ride in the pickup and I don't even have to tell her to load, I just open the door and there's a dog in the truck. Harvest has been late this year thanks to the weather. Leo said it was better than he thought it would be, although there were some areas he didn't bother to cut because of the hail damage. The North part of the homestead for example. Tells y'all a lot, I know.

County fair was at the new complex at the Archer off ramp. It got moved up to August 1st and extended to 10 days thanks to not having to share facilities with CFD (Cheyenne Frontier Days). They also didn't have to clean barns after CFD this year. There had been a long standing dispute between CFD and the fair board because of this.

The Janome dealer in Cheyenne has acquired a new space due to Payless Shoes Closing down and Sewing Club will be at the new place on Tuesday.

Friend of a friend has gotten her real estate license. Saw a tour of a house where she is having an open house today on Facebook. 5 bedroom, 2 bath in an area known as "The Avenues" in Cheyenne. Craftsman style house. $275,000.

It's overcast and cool this morning.

Good to see some of you back. I was beginning to worry.

    Hey everyone!
Lovely to hear all your news, and thanks for the choons books, always appreciated.
I am totally drained, it's turned 9.30pm and I have only just managed to get those two little rascals to settle down to sleep.
Dominic has a DJ job on, (as he does seem to have most Saturdays these days), and I have been left to cope alone with the girls to feed them and get them into bed. Hard work! They are live-wires.
Lucia is out with her friend. JR 'boxing' - or watching the box(TV).

The weather has been abysmal here with horrendous winds and heavy downpours, so the crabbing in Walberswick was abandoned and kids stuck indoors all day.
My face is sore from the appliance and removal of several lots of make-up that Isla insisted that I had done - and I'm brassed off with cooking and cleaning.
Off for a very large whisky and Southern Comfort now, JR's nerves are in tatters too, but he has a JD Fire to cool him down ...lol!
Cooking full English breakfasts and roast dinners for six tomorrow, as weather may not be up to much again.
Tsk- tsk - call this summer?
