Same here but wind is curry related.

    Culture time...

Trish, look what I found on YouTube..

For those that don't know Tarja, this is her usual style of singing.

and 10 years ago this was her style..

Stay safe folks and beware of the wind

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain.

    G'day all
Well we had 39c yesterday plus more life sapping humidity.
This was followed up in the afternoon with a nasty heat storm & I got 27mm of horizontal rain in 30 minutes!
We need the rain - but c'mon - give us a break!
S'posed to be only 31c today - I'll believe it when I feelz it - Hmmnn!

Hope you're all staying dry over there!

I may be quite content in my rural surroundings now days, but when I was younger, I sure missed a lot. I believe I was nearly 40 before I went to a concert. I did do some clubbing in Cheyenne before that, but I don't think I heard anyone that made a name for themselves, although they were good enough to dance to. My parents were not anti rock either, so I had whatever records I wanted and could pay for myself. I nearly drove my sister crazy though as I saved for months for my record player and then could only afford 1 record - Kookie, Kookie, Lend Me Your Comb.

Snowed all day yesterday here and the wind is blowing and we are under a winter storm warning. Actually maybe not, I think it ended at noon and it's now after 2 pm. Just checked the Wydot site and all roads are either no unnecessary travel or closed due to winter conditions and it looks like our local Indian, Falling Rock, is out and about in a few places today. Hi everyone - I'm here Tony!

Today has been a busy one for me, had lots of candles/tarts/tea lights to make.
There are so many fragrant scents wafting around this house, it smells like a whore's parlour ...... hasten to add, not that I personally wouldn't know what a whore's parlour smells like!

G'day to you too Old, and hope that you are bearing up to the elements in Oz (always remember bearing up is a lot easier than bearing down, believe me!)
39C is way too much, especially with the high humidity.
Loved the early vid of the Bee Gees.

PosBalloo, thanks for the Tarja choons - for some reason my speakers seemed to blast out louder than ever after each choon - until..... yep! You guessed, blew everything off the shelves ... again, doh! I shall blame JR (as I usually do) for getting me such powerful speakers.
Hey, was that you singing with Tarja in the Phantom of the Opera?

Buttons, thanks for the links to Bagshot, I liked Georgia Fireball too. Wow, you are lucky to have it on a single, it's quite rare! Loved reading about all the places you used to go to, so sad they are no longer about.

Tony, glad you had enjoyable evenings watching The Beatles and Paul McCartney - my most memorable concerts are watching the Stones and the Quo (many times!) also seen Marmalade, Mud, Showaddywaddy, Mungo Jerry, Pilot, Jerry & the Pacemakers, Ivy League and dozens more - Stoke used to have some fab places to go with live shows.

Lol Wyo! I remember that choon! Ed Byrnes and Connie Stevens, wasn't it? (Ever likely you drove your sis nuts playing it over and over ...lol!)
Keep safe in the snow, don't venture out unless it's absolutely necessary. Hope Princess Onika is managing to get out in the snow for her toiletry needs - I'm envious actually, as we haven't had so much as one flake land here.
The dogs loved it when it last snowed - can't remember if it was last year or the year before.

I'd better get you a drop of something to warm you up .... and a bite to eat if you can't get out ....

.... and a cold bag of drinks for Old ......

Oh Trish, you're a life saver. I would love a burger & fries like that - num, num, num and Jack to wash it down.

Since I brought it up - here's Kookie and Connie Stevens, and Dick Clark, boy am I old!

Well hello rokins, welcome to the lounge.
    Nice ice cube!

A sad day for JR, he is terribly upset.
One of the lads he supervises and looks after at the centre has suddenly passed away He was just 24. His mother went to wake him this morning - he had died in his sleep.
He was at the centre yesterday chatting and joking with JR. He was such a lovely boy. His parents, as you can imagine, are totally devastated.
