Thanks i am prepared now for it to take some time before i get back on my feet excuse the pun once this hip is done i will have to wait about 6 months before they can do the other one as both need replacing

Brian, sorry you are having all of this trouble. I have had a hip replaced and was up and going real soon but didn't have the rods to remove like you do. Hope you can get the surgery over with and start the healing process real soon.

Just had a call from the Hospital have to go to pre op for a blood test on Thursday and supposed to be having the operation next Tuesday 19th.
I just got over a kidney infection last Thursday it came back on Saturday and i am on another course of antibiotics i am just hoping it's cleared up by Thursday and don't show up in the blood test or they will cancel again.

Well take it easy and eat well to give your body the best chance of fighting off the infection.

And I hope that you do eventually get the operation done successfully next week.
