I've had that feeling twice... Passed first time, then lost my license (LOOOONG story, incompetent officials, went every stage of appeal, court and everything but still lost), then passed at my second attempt the second time around!

Yes, you will be called upon to give lifts, but it's great to know that you can do that for your family. Congratulations. I passed my test at the age of 36, so I was quite a late starter.
