We don't know how lucky we are here on the eBid forums, I know posters complain about threads and posts disappearing but at least we don't get banned for asking genuine questions and having a sense of humour.
I, that's sweet little innocent me, have been banned from posting on TOS discussion boards.
My 'crimes', a couple of weeks ago I asked on TOS discussion board how to get their items on Google Shopping, that post was deleted, I still wanted answer to the question, so I read why it had been removed, and asked it again, leaving out the bit I thought had got it deleted, it got deleted again. Today is 20th August, there are changes coming in today that will have a negative affect to many sellers on TOS, for the last couple of months there have been loads of 'I'm leaving here' type of posts, so for a laugh just after midnight I posted 'Will the last person to leave please turn off the light' as title and '<smileywink> It's 20th August' in main body part of post.
That got deleted as it was my third deleted post I'm now banned from posting on their discussion boards (not that I'll be losing any sleep over it), so the next time you complain about a post or thread being removed, just be grateful that you can still post here on eBid boards.

Yes, but you have not been banned, whereas on TOS you would have been.

I originally joined ebay back in 1998 or thereabouts and was a frequent poster on the forum. Back then it had a much friendleir feel to it and there were lots more small sellers and buyers who were very helpful.
I stopped visiting their forums in 2001 after 9/11 as some of the things posted there were just too much for me. The last time i even looked at their forums was about 4 years ago and the sniping put me off after reading the first thread. I eventually got an answer to the question i was looking for on digitalspy!
We are so lucky on this forum that when there is a disagreement it usually does not get out of hand and get us banned.

I did have one of my threads removed and several that I have posted about eBid have disappeared a bit quick. One thread I started did get one or two others banned (it was one of those rainy days that I couldn't go out to play, so was overly flippant) but I always seem to know when to keep my head down.

I've been perma-banned from their discussion boards. I have 100% positive feedback and got banned for questioning certain things

My fault. I had a few beers and made a thread 'educating' the public as to how Ebay and PayPal are the same company and take about 20% all in. When you do they math, they make more than the sellers on most sales.
