Thread: which is better?

  1. #1

    Default which is better?

Hello everyone. I am a bit confused. Which is the better way to list things? 10 days and 10 relist or run till sold.
    Thanks in advance.

Most sellers are probably better off using 7-10 days with 10 auto relists. I use a variety of 7, 8, 9 and 10 day listings so that things get moved around and freshened up for returning visitors. RUS is a useful tool for sellers with either lots of listings or those with items that are more specialist and likely to be found via a Google search.

If you look at the front page and the various tabs there, you will see
    New Listings,
    Closing Listings,
    Popular Items
    Sold Items, among others.

A RUS Item stands a chance of appearing on the new listings once and the sold items if it sells.

A 7-10 day listing with 10 auto reposts has 10 chances of appearing on newly listed, 10 chances of appearing on closing listings, and if it is an auction and gets a bid or a buy it now sale on a listing with multiple items available also stands up to 10 chances of appearing on popular items. Plus it moves up the list of available items as search results are displayed by Time ending soonest by default.

As usual, Kreative's advice is sound.

Ditto Kreative. I use RUS mostly, but am just naturally a bit lazy.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

I use 10 day 10 auto relists because I have an auction + buy now set up.

I never use Run until Sold.

Partly because it doesn't get as much exposure to buyers, and partly because I appreciate the reminder of what I am listing every 80 days so I can edit, enhance, reduce and so on, occasionally.

I only wish that with 8 day 10 auto relists I could relist more than 50 at a time when I want to. Sometimes I have 1000 relists to do, and have to relist blocks of 50 twenty times.
