Default Collect + What's your experience?

I have a collect + store on my doorstep.

Anyone used them for store to store deliveries?
    Can you get a signature?

Do buyers like the convenience of picking up parcel at their own leisure?

Helpful comments please. (good or bad)

I have used them for about 6 months without a problem so far. I think they are introducing a signed delivery option shortly. I use Collet+ for smaller deliveries and My Hermes for larger ones. I tend to use them through Parcel2Go as you can get a 5% discount if you pay £100 into your account, and every little helps in keeping costs down and profits up. Using Parcel2Go can be a pain of there is a problem as you deal with them and they deal with the actual courier company, so it creates a bit of a chain where communication can be more difficult. It is sometimes cheaper using the company direct, but general the cost is the same. One great advantage is that you can take parcels in till late at night and weekends, they still do not get picked up until next day or Monday, but it means you can drop off on the way to the shops or whatever.

Because of the postal increases, I have just started using them and so far I am impressed. They state it is a 3-5 day service, I have only sent two so far through them, as I am still in the process of changing my postal rates, and they have both arrived the next day. I have only sent 2kg parcels, not jiffy bags, and when I print the packaging slip they have 24hrs on them. I have yet to send one of my smaller packages so I don't know if they go via 24hr or whether it is longer.
Their minimum rate is for a jiffy bag upto 2KG and that costs £3.99. As kreative says they do have a signed for service but it is for more expensive items, for example a parcel with a value of £100 and signed for costs £5.99.
I took a shot and they have proved, so far, to be efficient, may I suggest you do the same.
By the way my 2kg parcel was £4.99 via Collect+ and come Tuesday it will be £11.00 by Royal Mail, for me it was an easy choice to make.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks for that as I have a Collect+ collection point/corner shop just around the corner

My nearest myHermes collection point is in Shrewsbury, although I know the local courier quite well as she delivers down here quite often.

I have not used the store to store option. It is .50p cheaper than store to the customers front door. I don't know if you have opened and account with them, but if you put in a post code, a map will come up and show the nearest stores to that postcode. I suppose you could put something in your listings offering the store to store option and direct the potential customer to the collect+ website so they can enter their postcode and see if there is a store within a distance they are willing to travel.

ill just check average time for parcel to arrive .

just had a look back ,

used collect+ around 40 times in last 6 months of last year .

with most arriving within 3~6 days , one loss and 2 items at 10+ days .

so not bad but i could not risk , shame because cost was amazing .

but 2 out of 40 is too high % when taking into account dsr nonsense but on a good site and explaining to customer could be great .

average price of £4 per parcel compared to £10~£12 Royal Mail .
