Would you consider adding an 'additional option' box to the shipping details section?

This could be a free text box that allows the seller to add an option to the postage and an 'extra cost' box that adds to the postage.

My reason for asking is that I want to give my buyers a choice. We all know postage costs are a big part of selling, and anything I can do to offer reduced costs to buyers can only be of benefit.

I usually send items in board backed envelopes, but I have started to offer my buyers the option to have their items sent more cheaply in standard envelopes. The trouble is my shipping details could be confusing unless the buyer has read my default notice at the top of the page. And experience shows that buyers don't always read listings in their entirety.
