Thread: Shipping Default for Additional Items NOT WORKING!

Default Shipping Default for Additional Items NOT WORKING!

Had 2 orders this week where even though my items say $1 S&H and $0 for additional items, site tried to charge shipping on every single item......getting very tired of all of these site problems and none of them being fixed

This is what my items state but its trying to charge customers $1 per item so who knows if we have people cancelling their cart when they see outrageous shipping totals:

    Shipping Details
    Domestic Shipping to United States
USPS First Class Mail = $1.00 (extra item $0.00)

    Hi,

There are 2 ways to add an "extra cost" or "extra weight" to a listing.

    1) If you just add it on the listing form then it will only apply to extra purchases of the item you are listing. This seems to be the case with your example.

    2) If you add a shipping code via "My eBid > My Defaults > My Shipping Defaults" and then choose this code on the listing form of any items you want linked for shipping purposes then these will be bundled together for shipping calculations.

    eg.

    You list 100 baseball cards

Each has the same shipping code that you created in "My eBid > My Defaults > My Shipping Defaults". The shipping code is $1 for first item and $0 for extra items.

You sell all 100 to the same buyer.

    Shipping will be $1 + ($0 x 99) = $1

What is the code then?!?!??! I tried to copy and paste the code you showed and it doesn't fit, it cuts off, also, once you explain this, how do I edit this in to my 19000 items?

You will need to visit the page I mentioned to set up your own code.

The code can be chosen on the listing form OR added to the spreadsheet if you are bulk uploading. See the spreadsheet for instructions.

To edit many items at once go to "My eBid > My Bulk Edit"

Is there anyway for me to add this into my excel template or will I have to edit on the site after each upload?

Shipping Codes can be added into bulk uploads. Check out the first tab in the eBid Spreadsheet, it has instructions for adding shipping codes.
