Yes, saw them many years back in a smallish club, may have been Boat Club at Nottingham, can't quite remember, saw so many bands early to late seventies. Always had a good crowd of travelling fans.

This is the very man I have posted this about mainly. Burke Shelley is the bassist you are referring to Spyder, he is a friend of mine, I play with him from time to time (musically lol)
I wondered whether you would spot him and also what you thought of his contribution to the band I posted links on, also to see what people thought of them as a whole.
Those recordings are very rare and others highly sought after. Titch, who I spoke of, tragically died in a very controversial house fire about a year before I moved to Cardiff. He is a legend here and hearing his guitar work ( I have some audio recordings of his kindly given to me) I am not surprised, and I don't say that lightly, he was outstanding iin his field, completely unique. There was far more to his style and range, extremely diverse, than what you hear in those couple of videos. He did quite a lot of classical work too and a lot of blues. He is spoken of round here as a very warm, caring and sensitive man (haven't sen so many of THEM in this city either! lol)
This collaberation with Titch and Burke and the other band members was certainly different to Burkes Budgie stuff, but it's a pity you can't see more of it.
    Sad loss.
Burke is in another band now too aswell as the stuff he is still doing with Budgie, that does really well. The lead singer is Kenny Driscoll as is the name of the band

Here are a couple from them, see what you think.
The drummer in the first one is the very talented Steve Roberts, he used to live in Brecon too like me. He does a lot of session work.
The actual drummer with this band is called Lauren, a very talented female drummer!
Havent found any clips with her in though yet. Excuse the quality here

I need a new computer, keeps overheating too easily and cracking when I put videos on ;-(
Anyhow here are another couple from Kenny's band. He always makes me laugh, he is such a poser and so big-headed but really quite sweet underneath it all when you strip him down back to earth lol
He is a good showman though.
Apologies again for the quality, not the best recordings as you can see! Think I should get round and take some lol
Kenny was in Lonestar too for any fans

By the way don't think Burke looks like a woman so much these days Spyder (none I've seen anyhow!) more like a yeti I think lol, you have to wade through the hair to find him still though!

At a time when it was a three guitar line in most bands he was one of the first to support lead guitar by doing a lot more then the 3 notes bass players use lol

Picked up a really good best of Alex Harvey last year, with lots of interesting stuff on it from before SAHB plus all the hits and loads of album tracks.

This is one of my faves

And what about these guys, saw them dozens of times in seventies and early eighties

Missed what you said here before Spyder, what an honour
Budgie gets to play with the great legend that is Spyder and band, lucky them!
Can't wait to see/hear your recording when it happens.

NIce stuff lads, like the tracks though cant access the Pink fairies for some reason either on yours or Books link, not allowing viewing in my country, spoilsports

You get educated on the music front here and get to share great music, that has to be as good as or better a reason for joining ebid alone! (Aswell as getting to meet some really nice people in the forums)

    How about this
