    Default RIP Jon Lord

One of the greats from Deep Purple has joined the great gig in the sky.

Here is one of my favourites. RIP Jon.

I remember a quote from way back in my past.

Back when I was still in high school (early 70's), I subscribed to a magazine called "Circus" ...a popular rock magazine at the time. In one issue, they had an interview with Jon Lord and he was asked what the future holds for him and Deep Purple. I'm paraphrasing here (and my memory may be faulty on this) but what he said was somewhere along the lines of...

Well, we're enjoying our success and having fun right now but who knows how long that will last ...it's not like I'll still be playing keyboards for Deep Purple 10 years from now.

    Little did he know.

Prior to Deep Purple, Jon Lord was in a band called the Artwoods, here are a couple of classics from them.

You must have a special version of the album where 'Living Wreck' is mixed with 'Flight of the Rat'!
