Thread: How do I take the listings in one store offline

  1. #1

Default How do I take the listings in one store offline

    Can someone help.
I am reorganising my ebid for a number of reasons, i.e. postal price changes, ebid's new Best Offer, etc.

I currently have two stores, my main one http://booksforsale.ebid.net/ and http://thestockroom.ebid.net/

I want to be in a position where the listings in http://thestockroom.ebid.net/ are not buyable (effectively on holiday) while I reorganise my ebid.

I have taken http://thestockroom.ebid.net/ offline, but the listings within that store seem to be still available to buyers.

How can I stop the listings in http://thestockroom.ebid.net/ being buyable, without taking them off the system? I don't mind if they are visible, as long as they are not buyable.

Is there a way I can put that store on holiday, without affecting my main store http://booksforsale.ebid.net/ ?

    thanks

It looks as though you've done it. I can't see The Stockroom or any listings. You've got 18 listings available in your booksforsale store.

I am still seeing all my listings under Auctions I am Running (679 0f them) - when I am logged out if I do a search they are still available, searchable and have the Buy Now button..

My All About page is only showing a link to the booksforsale store (which I have left online), which sounds about right, but even though thestockroom has been taken offline, the listings have been left in ebid.net in general

Here is an example: If I do a search, whether logged in or not for "Industrial Archaeology hampshire" it returns this - one of my listings in the shop that has been taken offline:

If you create a notice (under My Notices) you can select where the notice will appear (i.e. all items or by store or category), tick the appropriate box and make the notice active to put the selected items on holiday, while leaving the rest available for purchase.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

That sounds like a glitch to me that's unique to you and your store. Unless someone comes along with the answer I would suggest you contact support.

    Solved (I think)

I had an idea that I should be able to do as suesjools suggested, and had tried this earlier, but the store wasn't appearing in the choices.

This is because I had taken it offline (which takes the store offline, but not the listings). As the store was offline, it didn't show in the notices (which appears as a drop-down if you have more than one store online), so I couldn't apply a notice.

I put it back online and it appeared in the notices, so was able to apply the notice to that store and put it "on holiday"

    Many thanks for your help.
