Those street scenes so remind me of khartoum - we lived there for 5 years - came back to UK in 1984.
Loved the whole picture odyssey and hope they have a safe journey home.

Thank you and your family for sharing this with us. It seems like they had a great trip and I had fun following their adventure.

Hi all, Yes thanks to our tour guides for helping spread the eBid brand around another part of the globe.
I have certainly enjoyed the virtual travel, without all the hassles & heat.
Glad you all enjoyed the ride, but that is most likely the end of our journey.
Bro & Sil have yet to face 2 more long haul flights home & I don't envy them that prospect.
If I get any more interesting type shots, I'll post them here ASAP.
As for the next trip???
I wonder if it's cooler in North Carolina? Bro might get a warm welcome there!
However, Sil will probably have veto rights on that!
Cheers to all & thanks for your interest & comments, Allen.
G'day all, Well our traveller's have made it home safe 'n sound after an uneventful trip, save for one disappointment at Chennai airport.
Bro had been carting about for some time, a half bottle (unopened) of Old Monk rum, just as a small souvenir you understand.
A couple of officious customs types made him tip it out at departures, as apparently, alcohol is not allowed on board in the cabin luggage.
Drinking the offending contents was not a good option either, as they take umbrage at drunks in the cabin also. Result = yours truly misses out on his taste of the Old Monk.
Anyhow, here are the last few shots from the trip home & thanks for watching. Allen.
#1 Departing Chennai airport.
#2 Making doubly sure he hasn't got anything else naughty! (Chennai)
#3 Orchids at Changi airport Singapore.
#4 Changi - free internet - Yeah!!!
Nice pix, too bad the customs are such stiffs. Had a security goon tell me I couldn't bring my coffee (just purchased at stand across from the check in line) through the airport check in line, whereupon I told him either I brought it through, or he bought me another as it cost $6 and I wasn't leaving it behind. Believe it or not, he bought me another one. OK, I'm usually nicer than that, but 4 hours without a ciggy is 4 hours too long...
Anyhow, glad your bro and sis in law had a good trip and made it back safely. Looking forward to their next outing.
Best wishes for many sales to all,
Well, he would have had a problem with that in the hand luggage at any airport. Maybe that is a little consolation
Looking forward to the next trip already
