Might be a good idea as the will neuter them and they won't multiply and turn up here again

Everyone sort of looks out for themselves. For the seller, moving the auction to a folder where it can be altered would benefit them. If Ebid does that, then they have to go back and make sure the auction has been moved to the right category. If they delete the auction, they are done, unless they catch the same auction in the wrong catagery. Then they can simply delete it again. A problem for the seller but very convient for Ebid. We all want to make OUR jobs easier.

A folder or holding section could quite easily state that if the items are only held in there for 7 or 14 days for example THEN automatically deleted if appropriate action has not been taken.
At least that would give the seller ample time to rectify.
Ebid would have not have to keep checking such a folder.

I totally agree that the removed items should be in a quarantine area where they can be reviewed and re-listed.

The removed items are still available - but only to admin

It would cut down on their work if people didn't need to ask admin for their old listing

Now this might be a way of encouraging management to change the situation. If your items are deleted, email support and ask them to reinstate them so you can edit them? Enough of these messages and they might change stuff.

You might even suggest everyone "accidentally" list a few things in the wrong category, and email support when they get deleted! [evil laugh]

Seriously though, even though I've never had my items deleted (as far as I know), I'd be strongly in favour of this holding area idea.

It would be yet another aspect where eBid could be streets ahead of feeBay. Over there I've had auctions pulled, thanks to offshore support being unable to understand plain English and misinterpreting my auction as infringing rules. After which I don't just get the minor inconvenience of emailing support, instead I get banned from selling until I've taken a 10 minute quiz that would insult the intelligence of a 4--year old.
