I only shop once a year (and you will never guess when that is). I do look a lot but it is for pricing, curiosity if I run into something interesting and to see what a particular seller has. I probably look at 10 things a day and have no intention of buying. My views will show but they mean nothing.

But imho its not a major priority, at least until we get a lot more listings and buyers.

What is the point of having a number of Views if it is not accurate?
I think a count of the Views can be very important if it can be relied on. If there are very few Views over a period of time then the sales heading is not attracting customers and needs investigation! After all - No Views = No Sales!!! Inaccurate numbers changing up and down from to time with no apparent reason are worse than useless.
Why can not a more accurate count be used!!!
I can only agree with PetBazaar low views need investigation, modifications on the item for sale, and for future items still to be listed, can be an important factor to increase sales.

No, I didn't! I believe it is meaningless and would not want management to waste time over it.

As has been said already "views" aren't all that accurate as many are in fact generated by the numerous bots crawling round the internet.... not least our good friend Googlebot! I've looked to see if any protocol compliant bots are excluded from crawling eBid by a robots.txt file but couldn't find one so I guess they aren't.

BUT..... most bots arrive to "view" listings by following links posted elsewhere on the net. Logic may suggest that the better items listed on eBid will get linked to more on the internet and therefore generate more "views" by humans and bots. So perhaps there is a nominal value in the numbers after all.
