Default Cancel order - dont know if this has been asked before...

But I have seen so many calls for a cancel order option, plus I have had a couple of people make mistaken buys with me recently, and instead of having to go through the NPB process which I dont like doing when people have been upfront and aplogised about thier mistake, that I thought I would start a poll. I dont knwo if here has been one done before, and this is my first time starting a poll... so be gentle

This is definately something that is badly needed.

yep, I dont mind filing NPB things with non-payers who dont communicate, but when someone has been honest enough to say they bought something in error and actually didnt want it, then I really dont think an NPB mark is warranted or a nice way to respond.

Yes, I do think there is a need for a 'cancel' option. However, this has to be really well thought out: I feel that merely checking a 'cancel' box would give SOME buyers the option to place bids on several similar items and cancel when after winning one.
eBay's mutual agreement has worked well for me in the past and something akin to that would be welcome.

Don't see the need for it myself. Don't think FVF's should be refunded on cancelled sales.
If someone request that an order / item is cancelled, then I just reply with a simple message saying thanks for the contact, sale now cancelled. But as a business I have to abide by DSR's

Not terribly concerned as I've not had this problem, though as I hear it's a problem maybe it's something support should look into adding.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

It hasn't happened to me on here yet, either. But, at least having a 'cancel' option gives the seller a definite indication that the transaction will not be completed - without having to guess whether or not it is a NPB.

Its happened several times to me and this option would have made things easier, not bothered about the FVF .

Some buys 2 of an item one being in error its impossible to send an invoice for the one item.

My items are in various Scales but not everything is listed in all scales so sometimes I'll get a request for something to be scaled up or down -once the wrong scale has been purchased. To be able to cancel the original sale would be a big help.
