    Unhappy Help please

I have sold an item which I simply cannot find. I have explained this to the buyer. How do I go about cancelling the sale?

If they have paid, reimburse, and include an apology in the reimbursement.

Hasn't happened to me on Ebid yet, but has elsewhere.

Thank you Dr Bill. No they haven't paid yet, and yes, I have apologised. What I want to do is cancel the sale.

You can't, there's no cancellation (thought it's been asked for by some of us - me included). You simply have to leave it as an incomplete sale, and of course in this case the buyer does have the right to leave negative feedback if they feel so inclined. My own request for a cancellation function would only cover situations where the buyer requested or agreed the process, I must admit. I do think a buyer needs to retain the right to complain if something goes wrong - that's not directed at the OP at all, it's a general observation.
