I am so sorry to hear this.
So you are going to have to look after your liver to slow the progress of the disease. There will be support groups to tell you how they have managed that themselves, if your doctors and specialist nurses don't quite have time to tell you everything.
Don't be afraid to ask for help if you find yourself stressed or depressed about the diagnosis.

Please oh please don't give up!

Yes, I agree with Bill. Seek out support groups and find what has worked for others. Search the internet for info and ask your Drs. about the info you find. Ask Nutritionists.

There are alternative options that people have great success with. My husband being one of them. His health problems are different but also deemed incurable but guess what? He's improving!

We have talked before, in the threads, about diet, nutrition & supplements. Please don't rule them out-what have you got to lose? That's what my husband said and what others, that I know personally, have said and they are doing marvelously.

All that being said, Please don't self diagnose.

It's just my two cents-but please give this thing a real fight.

Lin - Sorry I'm slow replying. I did see your thread earlier, and to be honest I was so stunned I just didn't know what to say - and in truth, I still don't know what to say. Sorry doesn't seem adequate enough. I know that I'm here if you need a shoulder, or someone to chat to - if that will help. As someone else has suggested - perhaps investigate alternative medicines / therapies. Perhaps accupuncture may be of some benefit. The thing to remember is to ask questions - and write them down when you think of them so that when you do see someone who can answer the questions - you'll be able to recall what it is you wanted to ask.
You have lots of friends here in the forums so you're not alone in this.
