yeah your right i should have done some more homework and not been drawn in by the import your ebay listings easy option, and the free fees i do think ive made a mistake and life is still good on ebay after all, the words that come to mind are better the devil you know

Welcome to eBid ramaslam. You paid your 50 quid for free listings for life which is a pretty good deal when you think of fees elsewhere.

Not sure why you are getting so het up about the adverts do you really think people take that much notice of them ? To be perfectly honest I hadn't even noticed what they were advertising until your thread drew my attention !

eBid buy in an advertising package and don't have a say in what adverts Google throws up but the more you mention the other sides name the more they appear ! I would much rather have a few adverts around the place than have to pay huge fees.

I don't see what difference it makes what adverts are on eBid.

You can bet if a customer or seller is on eBid then they have tried feebay already, surprised feebay see the need to advertise really. So if I'm on ebid I don't think I will click on an advert for feebay just to see what it's all about as I always compare prices when buying

It's all about choice, I choose to sell and buy on more than one site but my prices are lower on eBid as the fees are also lower

    Pay per click.
Does that mean that everytime someone clicks on the feebay link they get charged?

and over on the other side, they go and put sponsored listings onto the bottom of all the search pages, they put linked listings at the bottom of your own listing page- you pay them loads of money to list item A then when someone looks at the listing the powers that be have put at the bottom you might also like to look at these..........................
Now you wont get that type of underhand behaviour going on by the ebid management!!

Nope - ebid wouldnt do such a thing.

well I guess the one thing with that banner is that it doesnt take to straight to a page that is selling almost the same as me!!!! but it is a pain to be taken off site completely, hope all the clicks cost em a fortune and they get no takers!!!!

Quite a few auction sites run ads from other auction sites.

Doesn't any other type of company want to run ads on auction site ?
Perhaps its because they seem them as opposition to their own operations.

It does seem a little desperate to me.
I have my own website and I don't run any ads on it or allow any links on it.
They just cheapen my site, and would want to draw my customers away.
