There was two things that used to scare the hell out of me when I was a kid, the Daleks and Christopher Lee as Dracula.

I used to hide behind the settee when the Daleks appeared.

Missus managed to talk me into coming out to watch them a couple of weeks ago tho.

It wasn't how they looked that scared me, they're just knobbly dustbins with a plunger stuck on top, it was their freakin voices that got me.

Mind you, I was only about 9 or 10 at the time. lol

it was the rising to 'hysterical' that got me too... wonderful - still love them (now!!!)

I used to be more frightened of the cybermen, but that used to be in the early days when they used to talk in a whispering menacing voice, somebody then had the brain wave of giving them some throat pastals which makes them sound more electronic and in my opinion not so frightening (or is that because I'm a tad older these days ?!) !
