Default New Site and Current Databases

Hi there, I am looking into expanding my store inventory on eBid in the near future. I am wondering if I load a large amount of inventory into my eBid store will I have to update / reload everything once the new site comes online in January?

I was wondering about that myself & was about to make a post about it, but saw your post instead & didn't lol

Therefore, GAZZA, what happens to our existing listings? Will they be uploaded to the new site automatically or will we have to re-list everything all over again???

    Thanks in advance.

I sure hope you're right. The other place made me re-list EVERY SINGLE item & it was a pain in the you know what. They had told me they'd be in the unsold tab, but NOOO....grrrrr Oh well.

If everything goes smoothly, we shouldn't have to do anything. But....if it doesn't...anyone have any extra sedatives?

It shouldn't affect the listings, it didn't last time.

To be on the safe side why not export your listings a day or so before, so you know you have them backed up.
My eBid - Auctions I'm Running - Export Listings.

They'll be saved in the correct format for the bulk uploader.

It makes sense to do this on a regular basis anyway.

How would I go about doing that since Google Base or whatever it's called now won't let us upload ourselves anymore???

I suspect the listings will be transfered, but if they dont at least we will lose the dump and run brigade in one foul swoop as they (probably) wont bother.... mind you there will be quite a few others as well who wont relist... and then the site will be able to offer an incentive for who ever lists the 1,000,000 listing

    hello
where do I find info re: new site. I have not heard of this or that it could effect current listings. Why would anyone lose the listings? This mystifies me. When they grow, don't they just expand servers? Well thanks for the info about exporting listings.

I don't expect it to have any effect on current listings at all.
