As far as I know GS is just a more limited search aimed at connecting buyers and sellers (i.e. only shows stuff for sale). I don't know how common it is for buyers to use it at the moment, hence the question.
Don't quite understand purpose of the GS. when I looked up vintage linens I got stuff from Macy's and big box places.

But you know searches, ten minutes later a whole new bunch comes up.

You are right, on GS it was all US items. Since the internet, ebid, etc is international, kind of silly to show only buyer's own country.

Default the search tends to show what's closest...

    hello
web searches tend to show what is closest, at least according to your ip address.
I will google something that seems general enough and up comes stores from Tampa and closeby.
Shipping also would be more expensive. But I never had a problem looking for something outside the U.S. as long as I put the name of the country after my search term.

Google Product Search (Google Shopping) is not international. It currently operates in the UK, US and Germany only.

One of the stipulations for items to appear on any of the sites is that they are listed in the language and currency of the target country. While eBid could maybe fiddle things and do a second upload of UK listings to the US site (and vicky verky) the translation into German would be a lot harder.

What a smarty you are!! That is why I find some of my listings in German on google.

I was listing tatted trim last night and the upload in short order happened again! Think this speed seems to occur when I am listing after 10pm. Must be when ebid does their thing with new listings?
