    Default Cancel Auctions with bids

Can anyone tell me how to cancel an auctions with bids on them?
I made a mistake in the title amounts and I don,t want to hold the buyer to his bids although the amounts were correct in the description. Thanks --Betty

The only options that I know of are:
    1. wait until the auction ends then you can contact the buyer and hopefully work things out
    2. blackball the buyer and that will not let him bid but beware it will probably tick him off and he will not be a future buyer.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

I looked at your auctions and since only one had a bid, I'm sure it is the one you are refering to. I would blackball the bidder and make any changes that need to be, then you can uncheck the blackball and he can rebid if he wants to but it sounds like he just wants out.

Just in case you haven't seen it the blackball is on the right when you go to My eBid.

just a note to others that might read this and do the same (for different reasons)

the T&C's of this (and most other sites for that matter) state that once a bid has been placed you have entered into a legale contract to supply the goods and therefore if the bidder felt strongly enough could

    A) report the seller to eBid
    or
    B) take legale action against the seller

so do not take this action without a lot of thought first

I would not have recommended this but there was a question from the buyer indicating he bid according to the title which was a mistake and he didn't want the items as stated in the description.

Since buyer and seller were both wanting out this seemed the best solution.
