Paypal or eBid glitch?

I paid for two items together on 10th July.

Payment is shown as completed in Paypal, but AAL shows nothing after the invoice issued stage.

I've messaged the seller to ask her to check her PP account.

Is this happening elsewhere, or is it something I've done?

Hmm - checked again and it is now marked 'paid' - just slow, I guess!

You can mark it paid yourself in the AAL, at least i think you can.

Only seen this happens a few times; usually buyer pays directly and does not use the PP link OR the link is broken/disrupted.

If that is the case (disruption), it will fix itself and the payment will show up in AAL. But a buyer can not go in and mark things paid, only seller can do that. If seller does that and the AAL PP link starts to work again, hopefully the payment will stay put?

I just received a payment from a buyer but PP did not send me notice/email that buyer paid. Luckily it showed up on ebid's AAL with paid so I logged into PP to see and sure enough payment was there.

Is this normal? Does PP not send emails to sellers that payment has been sent by buyer unless you are using feebay? Also, does ebid not send email that buyer has paid? Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just have to keep checking since PP doesn't send email and neither does ebid when a buyer pays.

Well, it must have been a PP glitch, because I just got an email from them regarding the instant payment that buyer made yesterday morning at 10am. Gheesh, 24 hrs for PP to send me notice.

Luckily, yesterday I had noticed in 'my ebid' that payment was marked as paid, so I had signed into PP to see [since I had not received an email from either PP or ebid that payment was made] and sure enough payment was there. So I was able to mail item yesterday.
