Thread: Auction has leeched picture and stolen text

  1. #1

Default Auction has leeched picture and stolen text

The Help article said to post in the forum if I had a problem for a faster response.

I'm not really sure where the Admins hang out, so I thought I'd try under marketing.

This auction has leeched the picture and FAQs page from my site.

    http://us.nine.ebid.net/perl/auction...637&mo=auction

I changed the picture, so it clearly says where it's coming from.

How do I get my article OFF of the site?

    Thanks!

    Hi Guy,
welcome to eBid, each auction has a report this item link,
    left hand menu,
Auction Options, Seller Options, it's the last choice.
The report function is fairly basic & I must admit I have doubts that the messages put in the box are read at times. You'd probably need to use intellectual infringement, OR, offering to sell offsite, as the links in the leeched listing are active.
Support is in the UK so may not be around just yet.

If you wish to talk to support about the items, either the Contact Us form or via email support@ebid.net or support@ebid.tv explain the problem give them as many details as possible, the auction numbers, & links to your website ect.

    Thanks, Gothicina.

I appreciate the info, although I am having problems getting the report this button to work. I see that the person running the auction took the picture down, but still has the FAQ page up. Since I have a PDF of the page before it changed that shouldn't be a problem.

    Again, thanks for the help.

It seems as though all of their auctions have been closed. Apparently, they were using my content on more than one.

I appreciate the prompt response from eBid.

Things like this can only distract you from your real purpose, which is to make money online! However, content theft makes me angry. Especially since the product manufacturer has several generic PLR FAQs pages for their affiliates, that the seller could have easily used.

Thanks again to the eBid Helpdesk and to Gothicina.
