I feel that e Bid must go for another TV ad campaign here in the UK as it has been a couple of years now since I have seen one. Infact it was a TV ad campaign that brought eBid to my attention in the first place.
I have been a member now for just over two years and I really like this site. It has a much improved user interface than it used to have and is really easy to set up and use. e Bid fees are low in comparison to e Bay and overall it is a pleasure to be part of. However, to my mind it has one major drawback --Things don't sell as well as on eBay!!
Now before you all want to take me out and shoot me for saying that. I wish I didn't have to. I have been a member of e bay for nearly five years now and have seen many painful changes on that site. High selling fees, political correctness to the extreme, selling policy manuals so thick you could wedge a cathedral door open with them; as well as the fact that the whole organisation is run by faceless wonders who won't tell you anything - except what you already know. But things on e Bay still sell despite all this!!
May I suggest a survey by e Bid to sample public awareness of their site, as I fear they might find the outcome in relation to e Bay will be similar to asking the public who their local MP is in comparison to who Susan Boyle is!
Please e Bid more aggressive advertising within the UK, there are a lot of e Bay members who will switch allegiance once they know their products will sell. At the moment, they like me, feel stuck with the e Bay machine.
