Just wondering if there is any input on our website, still around a thousand products to add so haven't had chance to do the meta, keywords etc.

The meta-tags should be customized for the individual page, and at some point you need to be url-rewriting in your .htaccess file so you can have some search-engine friendly urls.

I hate doing that. It makes my brain hurt. I get clever people to do it for me.

If you generated the pages live from a database its usually possible to do the meta-tags on the fly as well - with a little template editing. If in doubt just use the title data in there as well, I guess.

Its a very nice looking site.

thanks ice house, yeah i'm aware that they need to be specific for each individual page. I think i'll get the url-rewriting done by out sourcing it i had enough problems on my last site getting it w3c validated :P many thanks

Top Notch, Colours are nice & clean

If you decide to customize it a bit more, i suggest heading to the zen-cart support forums, tons of info there

Some of the people on forums, seem a bit up themselves dont they? lol

Erm ive opted for an easier way

i had a website domain before i set up my shop

    www.daisychaincollectables.co.uk

When i got my retncart store, i asked for the .com name so i could both uk and com. then i simply installed the analytics unto the .co.uk and redirected traffic to the .com domain

I was determined to keep the.co.uk name as it is in google, yahoo, altavista search engines.

Id like to install the google analytics into the actual webshop, but perhaps at a later date, as the instructions on the zen-cart forums, baffled me a bit and im easiely baffled

    Just to add to this:

Ive actually had a lot more views on my website than on my ebid items, currently ive got 8 guest online there, and the visits have ranged from people in kent, to people in the usa and spain. So there is defintley potential for you and i, and others to sell products this way

I noticed before as well you had 5 guest online, so good luck and keep me informed of any sales

will do many thanks, have you had any seo work done on your site as of yet? ive had a website before and spent 90% of my time working on the site rather than generating business.

I've learned from this so intend to get the work outsourced for things like this.

    Any tips appreciated.
