No longer do I have the chance of seeing my name in lights!
I often looked at the featured stores, especially those with useful descriptions in the first few words (the only ones that show).

I have two ebid stores. This is for Cats Protection;Lots of beanies, fast food toys, random collectables, some new children's clothes - almost anything really.
this is business and sells skeleton leaves, Thai silk, various vintage postcards, more random collectables
Both sell discontinued china tableware.
They're still there but on the left hand side about half way down the front page - just above the google sponsored ads.
So they are! Silly me!
don't like where they are now unless you know they are there they will not be looked at
I often clicked on stores that caught my eye at the top of the page.... whats's the point of having them all the way down there?
Bah Humbug
Featured stores bumped into obscurity by a flaming ad banner for Sky TV - like that's really any use to me, or members in the US, Canada, Australia etc.
I used to like nosying at the stores that popped up - even made a few bids - but only coz they up there at the top of the screen and caught my eye.
Bet G&M made more in fees off impulse clicks on the store flashes than they do off the Sky advert.
grumble mutter grump
well i must be blind as a bat cus i cant see them at all.
Not that it matters to me , as i am not even selling @ the mo.
But even so ... i cant see them.
WTF???
right down the bottom of the left side UNDERNEATH the categories!!!!
Oh how bloody useless is that? And the amount of words shown for the stores is now 4
FOUR?????
Oh great so my store will now come up as "Niff naff and trivia" oh how attention grabbing is that? ffs what a crock.
Why is it that they seem to be making some great changes to grab more buyers ... only to slam them down again and make the site look like a pile of ****e?
getting seriously hacked off with this messing around now. Ebid owners need to take advantage of the free business advice out there available to everyone who has set up a new business. Even if the business was set up a few years ago, if you didnt take advantge of the free business training then you can do it NOW.

There you go, dont say I dont try to be helpful with my criticism G&M
They will arrange for you to have a meeting with a business advisor in your area AND they will put you on a FREE 5 day business management course.
If I was you I'd get on that website ASAP and start learning how to make this company a success instead of a laughing stock.

Thanks for the tip MrsCheeks!
We are adding a new store directory system soon that will make stores much easier to find. You will see in your store config area that you can now choose a Level 1 then a Level 2 category for your store. Pop in there to classify your store.
