It is a fact that international sales do occur on eBid. People will pay the shipping cost, if they want the item. It may occur less now then before, but international sales do happen here.

A sale is a sale. A good thing from any side of the pond.
Agree 100% & that's all we can do about the shipping situation ATM
As a buyer, I'll pay the shipping if I want the item (no other choice)

Due to the high cost of shipping, have not had a sale in a long tome. Still live this site though.

    I have the same thought.

Cheapest way to ship internationally is by First Class Mail International but then again, it all depends on the weight of the item.

In the UK we have parcels brokers - they can get better rates than an individual can (I use parcelMonkey).

Very often the rate quoted is far less than going direct to the carrier.
    BUT.........

They change all the time, and different companies will rise to the top of the list for best prices. I think it depends on the weight, the destination, and the best spot-price the broker can get on the day.

    Here's a good one in the U.S. regarding U.P.S.
At one time rates in UPS shipping were really good, then up went fuel cost's, so understandably UPS raised their rates., not only raised rates they started charging for areas in places never charged before ( outlying areas )....ok so fuel rates go down !! do you see a reduction on fuel surcharges ?? NOOOOO of course not....now fuel has gone down their rates are the same....betcha when fuel starts rising aging their rates will increase for the fuel charges... I've gone to U.S.P.S. priority mail. In my opinion with the boxes, tape, it the best all around deal for shipping.

I have small items to ship, so First Class Mail International is the cheapest for me mostly using padded envelopes.
